The Force Wall Seal is an invisible and very sharp wall most often used for traps. They generate a 4 m x 4 m invisible wall of invulnerable force between them. The wall can easily be jumped over or gone around if you know it’s there, but it’s ridiculously thin; running into it tends to cut you in half. It lasts for 12 hours or until the seals are damaged (the seals can be damaged from both sides of the barrier) or moved. If you have the tags prepared it takes about a minute to get them set up and activated.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not a reactionless seal.

Requirement[]

  • Two seals needed to be on a flat parallel surface.
  • There must be enough clear space to form the wall. Significant solid or liquid will interfere. However, something like smoke will not.
  • Careful alignment of the seals is necessary for it to continue to function.[1]

Applications and Plot[]

The most common use for Force Wall is for military applications, most often as a trap. However, Hazo and others had found industrial applications for it.

Mari used the Force Wall Seal to entice a lumbermill owner into wanting to buy the seal to cut wood. However, later they found out that they couldn't buy the seals because the merchant council prohibited them to. This allowed Mari to achieve her political goal to put pressure on the merchant council to open up the economy to ninja magic.[2][3]

A seal infusion crisis left many people dead and homeless. Recognizing that the homeless might freeze to death, Hazo took it upon himself to build temporary housing. However, the backyard of his home is dangerous and full of trees, so Hazo devised a frame for the force wall seal so that it could be moved around and chop down trees. It proved extremely effective against ironwood, a type of tree that's normally very difficult to cut using conventional method.[4]
